Job Description: 

The purpose of the Administrative Assistant/Data Entry position is to ensure efficient, accurate, and professional daily operations of the Graduate and Online Admissions Office.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Communicate with faculty, staff, and students (both verbal and written) in a professional and effective manner

  • Input data information into ERP/CSM database to provide accurate and efficient reporting

  • Work with Admissions staff to keep student records up-to-date and accurate

  • Preparation of reports for email and mail merges

  • Provides thorough knowledge of the University academic departments, programs, curriculum, methods of program delivery, and expectations

  • In charge of ordering office supplies for the department

  • Assists other staff members with daily operations that may include: creating folders, filing, printing and mailing admittance letters, t-shirt mail outs, answering the main office telephone line

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate and Online Admissions

Job Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Previous administrative assistant or data entry experience preferred

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Effective, polite, and friendly manner working with faculty, staff, students

  • Strong work ethic

  • Strong attention to detail and well organized

  • Proficient in computer literacy and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office

  • Must show initiative, adaptability, resourcefulness, dependability, and ability to take action
